In case I haven't mentioned it, Sunday is my 26th birthday. C, KT and KT's bloke and I are all going out to my favourite Soho Chinese restaurant tonight to celebrate. I really wanted a low-key birthday after last year's blowout (I paid for 50 people to go into a nightclub/bar in Kensington, and got very very drunk). 'Going to dinner with another couple' seems very grown-up, though...!

Tomorrow, my parents are coming over and taking me to lunch. Therefore, I'm spending all day today trying to clean my flat to their standards. I know I don't have to, but if I don't, they'll spend the whole visit making snipey comments. Hurrah. Even if I get it to a state I'd call "very clean", my mum will probably still insist on checking the mugs before I pour coffee into them *sigh*

I'm also going to tell them about my career change. I won't go into specifics, though... Well, I'll try to avoid it. They are old and their hearts are probably weak ;-)

I'm getting into practise saying "Hi! I'm Laura and I work in porn". Aaah, sounds good ;-)
