Day two of my new job: I am sitting in my very own edit suite, in front of a honking great Mac (dual 800 processor, two external 60gig RAID drives, 21" monitor etc etc) and TV/video. I have spent the last day and a half editing and/or encoding hardcore. It's not as thrilling as it sounds, given that encoding takes about an hour per 10mins of footage, but I have ample copies of filthy mags to keep me occupied, and I have yet to get sick of seeing burly British guys sticking their cocks into slender Eastern European women.

I've had a crash course in digital video editing - fortunately the other editors here are all lovely and friendly and I'm getting loads of help. And there are tons of toys (not that kind) to play with - BetaCamSP decks, DV cameras... I'm in film student heaven. When I was at film school, I never pictured myself doing editing, but now I am it's pretty cool. Not that that's all I'll be doing here. For the time being I think I'm going to be ripping and encoding video footage, which isn't the most thrilling thing in the world. But I'm new: I guess I'll get all the bum jobs for a while ;-)

The premises are basically a studio/dressing room downstairs, offices upstairs. The studio is kitted out with a kitchen and lounge (and loads of other miscellaneous furniture) for photo/video shoots. Amusingly, the kitchen is fully-functional, and the staff cook lunch in it. I half-expect a porno stud to turn up, offering to "fix the fridge" while I'm eating my sandwiches.

On the private life side of things... One of C's ads got replied to by a 30-something guy. This ad mentions that C has a "buxom girlfriend" who might be up for a threesome with the right guy. I've told C that I want to see a photo before I start committing myself to anything - but I am pretty interested in trying a threesome with a cute bi/bi-curious guy. We'll just have to wait for the photo and see what happens....
